Putting A Face To Your Business

The Cold Facts of Search Engine Optimization
What does it all really mean?

Are you frustrated by the lack of traffic coming to your site ?

How do you go from being a part of the "invisible web" to the part readily found by people searching at Google and other popular search destinations?

Let's start with the basics…

In order to get any significant traffic from the search engines, your Website really should be listed within the top 30 search engine ranking results (preferably the top 20). Very rarely will anyone look beyond the first 30 results returned from a search engine.

This makes perfect sense because the most relevant sites are always listed at the top. So if your prospect does not find your site within 20 to 30 search engine placement listings, they will simply do a new search. If your site placement is below 30, you do not stand a chance against anyone in the TOP-20. Hence, it should be your goal to achieve a TOP-20 position in search engine rankings.

So how do you get your Website in the top 20 results of a search engine ranking?
Simply put, you need to understand how search engines work and what they are evaluating when they visit your Website. If you know what search engines are really looking for then you simply feed them the proper information they seek. Let's call it making your Website search engine friendly. In other words, optimizing your Website for search engines. While you get all of the emails from companies and companies screaming that they have all of the secrets, this just isn't true. Each search engine has it's own indexing algorithm and just optimizing for one won't necessary get you high rankings in others.

Meta tags are what many web designers mistakenly assume are the "secret" to propelling their web pages, they now primarily make up for the 'lack' if information on the site. Search engines wised up due primarily to the online porn industry's methods and changed their criteria. Now there is a little more to it. The best 'key' to high rankings is as simple as 'site relevancy'.

A combination of META data and keywords that are in the top few paragraphs of page text along with link popularity, page title, reviewed sites, text location vs. title & header, and frequency. Also, if you do a search for "Our Services" then change it to "Services Our" you will see that the listings change. Many web designers claim that if you type in their exact key phrase you will see the target site listed at 'so and so' ranking. Now you know how and why. The idea that I am impressing is; Regardless of what your rank is now (according to someone who charged you an arm and a leg) for submission, and feeling all superior, now type in a different phrase that someone else might use to find your site, use layperson words. These are the words that "Joe Blow" will type in, after all, that is who you're wanting on your site... right? Your Website needs to have the right key phrase in the right places to benefit your Website. AI-NetComm can help you achieve the best results without paying inflated prices.

If I can do it myself, why are professional search engine optimization services so expensive?
The only reason why search engine optimization businesses can charge so much is because of your lack of knowledge about search engines, and how they work. Top ranking sites either pay big bucks to use a professional search engine optimization company, or they have been studying the major search engines for years. The alternative is 'pay-per-click'.  In other words, the more you pay per click (PPC) on your results link, the higher your ranking. For each keyword phrase, advertisers bid against each other for placement within the search results. Each time a person clicks on your link, you will be charged the .05˘ to over $3.00 for each time whether the person purchases from your Website or not. More information on this process can be obtained at www.overture.com (link inactive). AI-NetComm will walk you through the process and explain the costs associated with the submissions. Non-paid Website submissions can take up to 3 months before showing your Website's listing. This is to be expected as each search engine re-indexes their listings at these times.

Another thing you should know is that several search engines WILL CHARGE you for submitting your site, the costs are non-refundable and in some cases, if your Website has a broken link, whether you see it on the site or not, or any flaws on the site. They will deny your submission, not inform you, make you wait up to 3 months and charge you again to re-submit the site. Regardless of what service you use, watch this carefully!

Finding the information that really gets results!
If you've been active on the web you may already know there is an abundance of search engine information available on the web - some of it valuable, much of it contradictory. You also know that throughout the years many changes and some prevailing search engine myths have developed. Some of these myths are actively encouraged by companies with a financial interest in their continued existence. Others are based upon techniques that were effective years ago but no longer work. So not everything that you have been told about search engines is true. Do your own research if necessary, then contact AI-NetComm and see how honesty in business can truly promote your business.
